We aim to reduce water-related diseases and illnesses in Africa by providing clean pipe borne water to communities where it is highly needed. Currently most people living in the rural areas of Africa lack clean water supply and as a result go the extra mile just to have water from any source, by any means. This has led to many illnesses one of which is popularly know as Cholera a disease derived from fetching and drinking bad and untreated water from rock surfaces, polluted rivers, ponds etc. Often time’s people travel many miles just to get water from the river even though it’s very unclean and dangerous to one’s health once used. People just don’t have a choice; it’s a means of survival for these poor African families living in the surrounding villages.
People in the local community have fetched and carried 50litre galon of water on their heads from the stream to their homes for decades. No one really knows the impact this untreated water is having on the health of the localcommunity.
The water project is designed to change this. With your help and financial support through Citizens for Change, together we will bring pipe-borne water to the surrounding villages and make a real difference to the lives of many in the local community and beyond.
So please keep your donations coming in. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Citizens for Change will receive your money faster and, if you are a taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Thank you for your support.
